MAEd – Natural Sciences and Environmental Education

Goals and Interests

I love pairing the community engagement, communication, and teaching skills with my enthusiasm for and my growing knowledge about the environment. One day I hope to manage educational programs for a conservation organization.

My research interests are in the commonalities between communication and education, how the two fields can learn from each other, and how to rethink both fields to encourage more inclusive ways of understanding the world.

My capstone thesis for my MAEd looked at how environmental education organizations adapted their programming during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
